Friday 3rd June 2022 Devotion
Scripture:- Esther 6:1-14
Topic:- God Never Forgets
By Dr. Bakia T. Thomas
I left the house in the morning and I told my wife I will return before evening. By the time I closed, it was 11 pm.
On my way back home, I got a call that a little girl was rushed to the Hospital almost lifeless. She was raped by a 60year old man.
I turned the car and went back to the Hospital.
I was in my office till 4 am in the morning when that child regain consciousness.
I waited till 6 am in the morning to go home.
Getting into the car, a Police van drove into the premises, they needed to speak with me.
I finished speaking with them and got a call from the DPO that the Community Head was at the Police Station with their Lawyer trying to get the man on bail.
I put a call to my wife and told her to help me drop the kids in school, and that I was heading to the Police Station.
Knowing how complicated the issue was becoming, I quickly asked my Lawyer to get a remand order to keep the Rapist.
Before I got home that day, it was 4 pm. Wanting to be a good father.
I left the Police Station, drove straight to my children’s school, and picked them up.
I know that I got home, but what I didn’t know is how I got onto the Hospital bed.
I was told I slumped and was brought to the Hospital. All that was for people’s problems.
I was kept there for 1week.
In one week, there were problems that people still solved without my knowledge.
In one week, life adjusted itself without me.
In one week, I didn’t make one call and heaven did not fall.
Dear Sir/Ma, You will die young and the family that looks up to you will suffer because everyone will revert to a factory setting.
Serve humanity but don’t die for humanity.
One death is enough, you don’t need another.
In the last two months, I have not gone to the Office, and no one has died.
If you cannot be attended to by someone else except I sit on that chair then your problems can only be solved by God Himself.
I don’t have the capacity. Do the little you can and leave the rest to God.
God never forgets!
Prayer Point:-
I command God to remember you for henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
