Understanding Giving

Wednesday 10th October 2018 Morning Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Genesis 22:1-19

Topic:- Understanding Giving

Text:- Luke 6:38

Giving is a key to receiving. Giving opens the door to our blessings. The unbelievers give their money, resources, honorary titles etc to individuals, government and corporate bodies with the hope of receiving some benefits from them.
Abraham is a good example in this case. He gave tithes to the king of Salem in Genesis 14. In Genesis 22, he obeyed God when he was told to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice to God. God blessed Abraham for this spirit of giving.
The widow of Zarephat gave out her food to the man of God and she was blessed for doing so. See 1Kings 17:18-24.

In John 6:1-4, a small boy gave the bread and the fishes in his possession to Christ so that others may be fed through it and there were left overs.
God gave us His son JESUS and billions were won to Christ, John 3:16.
Giving is always rewarded by God. Read Galatians 6:9; Proverbs 11:25; Matthew 6:20-21; 2 Corinthians 9:7.

Prayers:-
1. I refuse to be replaced nor my position to be taken by another person, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh my God, my vision must not die with me, I must actualize it in Jesus name.
3. Oh God, let giving be part of me henceforth so that I too will become blessing to others.

Have A Beautiful Mid-Week!

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
