SCRIPTURE READING:- PSALMS 91
TOPIC:- TRAMPLE DOWN YOUR SERPENT
TEXT:- PSALMS 91:13
The Old Testament language for the word serpent in Hebrew is called, “nachash” which means, “a hissing creature.” it is also called a snake, which means, the constellation or the dragon.
One of the reasons why you must trample down your own serpent, is not only because the word of God commands us to do so, but because of the so many atrocities attached to this evil and demonic creature.
Let’s see some of the reasons why you need to do so.
1. It was this demonic monster that the devil used to steal the glory, and destroy the first generation, (Adam and Eve), from that beautiful garden, Eden. By manipulation, hidden evil agenda, and with unsuspecting deception, their glory was removed, and thereafter, death was inherited. No wonder, Paul called it, “a conqueror” in Romans 8:37. See Genesis 3:1-24.
2. God even gave us victory over it but with constant battle against mankind. See Genesis 3:15.
3. The Psalmist declared that it should be trampled under our feet. See Psalms 91:13.
4. Isaiah on his own said, sword will be used to kill and destroy it. See Isaiah 27:1.
5. Its doom had been concluded by God. See Revelation 20:1-3; 20:7-10 i.e. hell fire.
Beloved! This evil and monster called serpent, never rest, 1Peters 5:8. Since the time it was chased into the world, Revelation 12:9.
That is why you must be on guard to resist it, James 4:7, trample it down and claim your victory over it. Never you forget that, that serpent must die by fire!
Prayer points:-
1. I command every serpent hiding in my destiny, my life and my family, what are you waiting for, die and be destroyed now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command every evil power of serpent that is operating in my life, what are you waiting for, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. You serpentine spirit and power sent to hunt me and my family, catch fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
