Topic:- The Two Goliaths Of David [1]
Text:- 1 Samuel 17:36
We are discussing the conquered and the unconquered Goliaths in David’s life as follows:
A. The 1st Goliath in David’s life is the physical one he conquered which was name GOLIATH.
1. 7 Things To Know About Goliath:-
a. He was from Philistine of Gath. See 1 Samuel 17:4,23.
b. He was a Giant. See 1 Samuel 17:4d, [About 9-11 feet tall].
c. He was a Champion. See 1 Samuel 17:4, 23.
d. Totally Secured and Protected. See 1 Samuel 17:5-6.
e. Used heavily and costly fighting Gadgets. See Samuel 17:7.
f. Man of War even from Youth. See 1 Samuel 17:33.
g. A Boastful and Terrified man. See 1 Samuel 17:8-11,23,43,44.
2. Three [3] Drama Between Goliath and David:-
a. David called Goliath lion or bear, but Gol called himself dog. See 1 Samuel 17:36,43.
b. The stone slung by David sunk into his forehead. See 1 Samuel 17:49.
c. Fell face down before David instead of fallen backward. See 1 Samuel 17:49.
3. How David Killed The 1st Goliath:-
a. His experience in the bush as he confirmed it to King Saul. See 1 Samuel 17:34-36.
b. His faith confession as he declared it to Goliath. See 1 Samuel 17:36-37.
c. He confessed God’s name. See 1 Samuel 17:45-47.
d. He used one of the 5 smooth stones he picked from the brook. See 1 Samuel 17:
e. His sling/catapult. See 1 Samuel 17:40
f. His Shepard’s bag. See 1 Samuel 17:40
g. The power of God that guided the stone he slanged. See 1 Samuel 17:49.
h. With the sword of Goliath himself. See 1 Samuel 17:50.
Prayer Points:-
1. I command every Goliath in my life, what are you waiting for, die by fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. You Goliath like enemies, hindering my breakthrough and success, enough is enough, summersult and die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Holy Ghost fire, equip me to fight and conquer all Goliath like enemies of mine henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
