TUESDAY 27TH MARCH, 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:– GENESIS 9:18-29
TOPIC:- NO MORE NAKEDNESS FOR YOU
TEXT:- GENESIS. 3:10
The Hebrew word for nakedness is “Erwah” which means nudity. It also refers to barrenness. In other words it its termed shame or disgrace, blemish and defeat. It also means a foul thing, filthiness, unclean or even excrement.
The drunkenness and nakedness of Noah was disgraceful, and the two often go together. Alcohol isn’t a stimulant, it is a narcotic and when the rain is affected by alcohol, the person loses self-control.
At least Noah was in his own tent when this happened and not out in public. But when you consider who he was, [a preacher of righteousness] and what he had done, [saved his household from death], his sin becomes even more repulsive.
Anyone operating under nakedness will be misbehaving just like the holy and righteous man in his own generation, Adam. That was what happened also to Adam our forefather who saw himself naked because of disobedience. The light and glory of God departed from his life. See Genesis 3:10.
Nakedness must be dealt with, otherwise, you will live your life in perpetual shame and agony. When you are able to deal with nakedness, you would have saved your entire life from disgrace.
Beloved, it is high time you cried violently in prayer that nakedness should be fired, so that your progress will really manifest.
Prayer Points:-
1. O Lord, by Your mercy, I close all the doors I’ve opened to nakedness through my behavior and character, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command you spirit of nakedness that rob me of my glory, be consumed by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. O Lord God, by Your Blood, cover my nakedness, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Glorious Tuesday!
