Friday 15th March 2019 Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Psalm 1

Topic:- God’s Unchanging And Infallible Word [3]

Text:- Joshua 1:8

D. Believer’s Responsibility To God’s Word:
Success in the Christian life will be determined by our attitude towards the Word of God. The Word of God is complete, sufficient and adequate. We therefore have a responsibility to read, treasure, delight, meditate and do according to the Word of God. See Ezra 7:10.
The Word of God should occupy a place of prominence in our lives, more than necessary food. It is what gives us spiritual nourishment. In summary, your responsibility concerning the Word is to nourishment. See Job 23:12.

E. You And The Word:
1. Read the Word – Carefully, Prayerfully, Seriously, Personally and Regularly. See Joshua 1:8.
2. Understand the Word you are reading. See Acts 8:26-37.
3. Apply the Word to yourself. See Isaiah 34:16.
4. Believe the Word of God, is profitable as you believe the Bible. See Hebrews 4:12.
5. Practice the Word. See James 1:22.
6. Be willing to sacrifice anything for the Word. Cut off any friendship or business relationship that will make you to contradict the Word. See Colossians 3:16.
7. Defend the Word. See Jude 4; 1 Timothy 6:12.
8. Teach the Word. See 2 Timothy 4:1-5.
9. Take heed to the warnings of Scripture to avoid the trap and snares of the devil as well as of the world. See Proverbs 24:21; 4:22.
10. Be filled and saturated with the living and the written Word. See John 1:1-2.
The Unchanging God is the Author of His Unchanging Word. The only sure and stable foundation upon which our lives can be solidly built in these changing times. As we accord His Word, the deserved respect and honour, we will not be moved or shaken, but be assured of eternal support and inheritance.

Prayer Points:-
1. Oh Lord God, Your Word is yea and amen, let Your Word dwell in me richly henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh Lord God, let Your Word dwell in me richly henceforth, so that I might prospered therein, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord God, Your Word heals, delivers, saves and takes us to heaven, let Your Word manifest greatly in me to do all those henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
