10 Ways Holy Spirit Empowers Christians [3]

Friday 10th July 2020 Devotion
Scripture:- John 3:1-16
Topic:- 10 Ways Holy Spirit Empowers Christians [3]
Text:- Acts 2:38

  1. The Holy Spirit Gives Hope To Every Believer:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” See Romans 15:13.
This hope in the eyes of God is only gotten through the power of the Holy Spirit. And this hope carries every believer throughout their periods of trials and temptations on earth. Hope is like a fuel to a believer’s soul.
  2. The Holy Spirit Teaches Every Believer And Grants Insight:
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” See John 14:26.
The Holy Spirit will grant you insight into whatever you’re reading and more also help you remember all that you’ve read in the scripture and in other things. He will bring to your mind understanding and truth of God’s word.
Have you ever had one of those moments when you were in a situation and a Scripture verse you read or memorized years ago popped into your head, encouraging you in that moment?
That was the Holy Spirit reminding you of what you had been taught. He empowers you with understanding and the ability to recall important verses that apply to your life.
  3. The Holy Spirit Helps Believers Pray Aright And In Accordance To God’s Will:
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” See Romans 8:26.
Sometimes we don’t have to have the right words–the Holy Spirit knows just what to say. Lean into Him and allow Him to express to the Father what needs to be said.
  4. He Uses Every Believer For Evangelism:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” See Acts 1:8.
This is an essential part of every believer. Witnessing to the light that dwells within them, that many others through their witnessing will come to the knowledge of the Father. And the need for witnessing is spored in the heart of every believer through the help of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.
So as a believer, I encourage you today to strive towards living like Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit. Allow Him in your life for direction and a purposeful life to the glory of God.

Prayer Point:- Oh Lord God, I need the empowerment of Holy Spirit in my life more than before henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Happy Weekend!

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
