Topic:- Fight Your Fire Fighters
Text:- Luke 3:16
1. Physical Fire: Fire is very essential for life. Fire produces heat for mankind; it provides illumination or light; it is also used for cooking, for roasting and for many other purposes. As powerful and as useful as fire is, it can be quenched or extinguished if care is not taken, either through fire fighters’ water or any other means.
2. Guidance Fire: The Holy Spirit is the guidance spiritual fire in us. God uses this fire to guide the Isrealites for forty years in the wilderness, Exodus 14:19.
3. Consuming Fire: With this same fire, Elijah’s enemies were consumed, 2 Kings 1:9-15.
We need the fire to energize and empower us for the fulfillment of our God-given destiny. The Prophets of old in the Old Testament and the Apostles of the New Testament, used the Fire of the Holy Spirit to do great exploits.
4. Jesus’ Fire: The Lord Jesus Christ was also filled with the Fire of the Holy Spirit, hence He succeeded in His earthly ministry. See Luke 3
:16.
5. Fire Extinguisher: There are many satanic forces around, trying to extinguish the fire of the careless Christians, there are Delilah, Jezebel, Herod, the spirit of laziness, prayerless life, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and many more.
You need to pray fervently so that your fire will not be quenched. Portiphar’s wife wanted to quench the fire of Joseph, Genesis 39. Joseph’s brother wanted to destroy the fire of his destiny, Genesis 37.
Family circumstances wanted to quench the fire/destiny of Jabez, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 .
Temptation would have quenched the fire of Peter when he denied Jesus Christ three times, Matthew 26:67-75.
Men of God like Daniel and his three Hebrew brothers, the earthly Apostles who found the Church and many other would have failed in their life ministry because of the fire quenchers, but we thank God for the life of these people.
It is also time for you to arise from your slumber, refuel your vessel so that the fire in you may be hot and powerful for the attainment of your God-given destiny. Catch fire!
Prayer Points:-
1. I command all fire extinguisher working against my miracle, be extinguished with Holy Ghost fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command every fire quenchers operating as sin in my life, what are you waiting for, die now in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I refuse to give in for fire destroyers that want to destroy my destiny, Holy Ghost fire! Fight to the end and give me victory, in the name of Jesus Christ.
