THURSDAY 19TH JULY 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:- GALATIANS 6:1-10
TOPIC:– YOUR UNENDING SEED AND HARVEST TIME HAS COME
TEXT:- GENESIS 8:22
God’s plan is to see you prosper in all you do, and if it is not coming forth, then something is wrong somewhere. God’s divine provision comes in seed.
You must understand this law, to succeed in your life, i.e. seed time and harvest time. Every man must surely reap what they sow.
Every seed sown become an harvest at maturity. Seed time always give birth to harvest of which without seed, no one can harvest.
For you to be entitled to harvest in life, there must be a seed time. You can’t reap where you didn’t sow. Seed time and harvest is an eternal law. It works. But what most people are interested at is harvest, and not seed time.
Many sow seed but they don’t harvest, why? Understanding! There are seed you can sow that nobody can kill you. See Exodus 20:12; Matthew 15:4.
Not paying tithe is a way by which you can never prosper. You can’t give to God and be a beggar, it’s a law to increase. When you give something to God, it must produce good result.
A seed of nothing will always create an harvest of nothing. Even, the law of the harvest is you reap more than you sow. See 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.
If you ever feel pressured to give, don’t. You don’t get any credit for that kind of gift. The Bible says, “God loves a cheerful giver.” God’s not looking at the amount you give but at your attitude.
This principle of sowing and reaping applies to every area of life, not just your finances. Whatever you sow in life, you’re going to reap. If you sow criticism in life, you are going to reap criticism from other people. If you always condemned others, judging people at will on any mistake they made, thereby forgetting that no one is perfect, then expect much more from others, to do the same to you too. See Matthew 7:1-5.
If you sow kindness, you’re going to reap kindness. It’s the law of the harvest. If you plant apple seeds, you don’t get yam to harvest, you get apples. If you sow with generosity, you will reap generosity. See Galatians 6:7-9.
This is the principle of the harvest. Whenever you have a need, plant a seed. When a farmer looks at his barren fields, he doesn’t grieve about it. He just goes out and starts planting some seed.
If he only has a little bit of seed, he has a choice. He can either hoard it, or he can give it away by sowing. If he holds onto it, that’s all he’s got. If he gives it away, God will multiply it. The amazing thing is this, you don’t just reap what you sow, you always reap more than you sow! See Luke 6:38.
God set it up this way because He wants you to become like Him. God is a giver. The only way that you’re ever going to become like Him is to learn to be generous. When you’re stingy, you’re like the devil. When you’re generous, you’re like God. When you give it away, God multiplies it. This sounds illogical.
To give away when you have a need so that you will get more back. But that’s why it’s faith! God says the way you get is by giving, not by holding on. See Hebrews 11:6.
So, expect a bumper harvest, because from the early days of creation, God set laws in effect that govern life on earth, regulating our choices and actions. See Genesis 1:26-30.
