SATURDAY 16TH JUNE 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:- JOHN 1:1-14
TOPIC:– YOUR STUMBLING STONES/BLOCK MUST GIVE WAY
TEXT:- JOHN 14:13
Whether you stumble or step on stones depends on the time and season that you are in the calendar of life. It will interest you to know that when your set time has not come, you stumble on stones but when the set time has come you step on stones.
Stones here speak of the obstacles and circumstances that you come across within the journey of life. These obstacles and circumstances oppose you at one time and later assist you at another time.
The set time is a time of remembrance; it is the time that God and men remember you for favour. It may look as though they have forgotten you, but once the appointed time comes, God returns back to you; He visits your record and rewards you when the appointed time has come.
The grave may seem to be the farthest or darkest place a man may be hidden but when the appointed time comes they will visit to remember you, Job 14:13.
The graveyard may look the quietest or solitary place on the surface of the earth but at least once in a year those who have their dead buried there take flowers there to pay respect to the deceased. If they can pay respect to the dead I believe that men will favour you because it is your set time of visitation. See Psalm 102:13.
You will discover that the same stone that was a stumbling stone to you yesterday can turn out to become a stepping stone when the set time comes. It is all the doing of God. He may allow you to take a journey through failure to success just to make perfect His will and power in your life, in which case failure is not a stopping sign but a stepping stone to the next level, I Chronicles 17:14.
Beloved! It does not matter how long you have been waiting, once the set time comes God intervenes and settles His children. I believe that you are the next in line for divine visitation. In actual fact you cannot divorce His name from the word of God because He is the Word of God made flesh, John 1:14.
You see why the word of God works for those who confess and stand upon it? His word is as good as His name and His name is as good as His word.
His word assures us of His full grace and favour which is ever there and capable of bringing us into His divine rest and peace. May God settle you in Jesus name! See I Peter 5:10.
1. Anything in me that is working against peace and quietness in my life, expire by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Every satanic storm that is rocking the boat of my life and family, expire by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Every satanic collaboration to terminate joy and testimony in my life, scatter in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Beautiful Saturday!
