WEDNESDAY 8TH AUGUST 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:– GENESIS 9:18-29
TOPIC:– YOUR NAKEDNESS IS COVERED BY FIRE
TEXT:- GENESIS 3:10
Adam said in Genesis 3:10 that, “I heard Thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”
The Hebrew word, “Erwah” which is ‘nakedness’ in the Bible, means, ‘nudity’. It’s also referred to as ‘bareness’. Another meaning is termed as, shame, disgrace, blemish and defeat. It also means a foul thing, i.e. filthiness, uncleanness or even excretion. See 1 Samuel 20:30.
Nakedness is a disgrace and secret revealed to people. You must refuse it on you, and let it catch fire. It can make a glorious and happy family to be forgotten entirely from the presence of God. That was what happened to Eli’s family, that the whole male in the family perished while the only surviving son was born prematurely, and named Icabod meaning, “the glory has departed”. See 1 Samuel 4:10-22.
You will also remember what happened to Adam, our forefather, who saw himself naked because of disobedience. Not only that the glory of God departed from his life but more also, he was chased away from God’s presence, and from already made enjoyment garden. See Genesis 3:1-24.
Beloved! Please don’t fail to cry violently, and ask God for your own nakedness to catch fire and be covered, otherwise, it can destroy you. I pray you will not be destroyed, but you will be a fire carrier!
Prayer Points:-
1. I command you power called nakedness in my life, no more, catch fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Enough is enough! I refuse to be tagged naked, not any more in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Every force of darkness struggling to stripe me naked, what are you waiting for, catch fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Beautiful Mid-Week!
