Friday 7th December 2018 Prayer Devotion
Scripture Reading:- 1 Samuel 17
Topic:- Your Goliath Must Die
Text:- 1 Samuel 17:46
We must first of all know who Goliath was before eventually believing he must die. Physically, Goliath had been a man of war and champion right from youth. See I Samuel 17:4, 33.
He was a giant with heavy and costly equipment. He wore this from head to toe which made him to be boastful and a terror. See I Samuel 17:5-11.
All thus made him to rely on himself and also his god. See I Samuel 17:43.
Spiritually, Goliath is devil incarnate that won’t want God’s glory to be manifested in your life, controlling your destiny and into total lordship over your life. So with this, that there is no way of you receiving your mandate of getting to the top, he must die.
All these led David to declare war and death on Goliath. And David did that by his faithful confession in his God, I Samuel 17:45-47. With his sling, I Samuel 17:5. And with the experience he had in the wilderness tending his father’s cattle, I Samuel 17:34-36. And since God was on his side, he killed Goliath, and David’s glory was made manifest.
I want to tell you with righteous anger that with your own Goliath alive, your achieving God’s mandate for your life is impossible. Your destiny and glory will never be achieved. Your getting to the top will never be real. Your road to achieve success will be hindered. All these and more must not be allowed for Goliath of your life to be alive.
Rise anew now and challenge your own Goliath on your kneels, and have victory over your own Goliath. If David’s Goliath had to die, yours too must not live, but your own Goliath must die.
Prayer Points:-
1. I command everyone that waylay my getting to the top, what are waiting for, die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command every Goliath that refuse my glory to shine, and standing on my way to success, die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Enough is enough! No Goliath of my life must live again, all remaining one, die after the other, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Happy Weekend!
