The Troubler Called Enemy

Monday 5th November 2018 Morning Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Matthew 5:36-48

Topic:- The Troubler Called Enemy

Text:- Romans 12:20

Christian have the mis-conception of who the enemies area, and by so doing they are confused on how to pray effectively on their enemies.
The real meaning of Jesus’ statement on the enemy must be understood in comparison with other passages in the Bible. Infact, most times, Jesus issued curses or woes to some of His enemies when on earth, like Judas Iscariot, Lawyers, Pharisees, etc.
Therefore, we need to understand who these enemies are, so as to appropriate our prayers rightly. Who are these enemies?

First, there are temporal enemies or changeable enemies. These are the people used by the devil to do havoc but didn’t know they are being used by the devil. They are innocent but doing contrary. They are to harm or cause you problem e.g. Saul who later changed to Apostle Paul. Jesus said forgive them for they know not what they do.
Secondly, there are unrepentant enemies. These are the people that are wicked in their acts and have vowed never to repent from their evil ways. They are like Pharaoh, Judas Iscariot. Those have sold their lives to Satan.
There are also devil incarnate enemies. No amount of prayer for them can have effect, its like wasting time and your prayers, because they are not totally ordinary human being. You may be seeing them as human but they are demons sent to destroy or kill. See Genesis 6:2,4; Ephesians 6:12.
What about devil, the greatest enemy? Do you want to pray for his repentance or salvation? See some of his escapades in Genesis 3:1-5, 15; Matthew 4:1-11.
Please, do not make the mistake of praying for these enemies except number one i.e. changeable or temporal enemies because, the Bible says resist the enemy, James 4:7b, and pray violently against them, Matthew 11:12.

Prayer Points:-
1. I command all arrows of enemies fired against me, come out by fire and go back to sender, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. You my star and glory that have been caged, escape and locate me with glory in the name of Jesus.
3. I refuse to die without achieving the purpose of God for my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Oh Lord God, rain upon me, Your morning rain, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have A Lovely Monday!

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
