Thursday 20th August 2020 Devotion
Scripture:- Matthew 4:1-11
Topic:- The Traps Of Satan To Make Christians Fall [1]
Text:- Matthew 4:2

Please If you don’t believe that devil is real and tricky, this article is not for you but if you believe that the devil is real, then pay full attention because am. About to expose him.
The traps the devil set for us are the same with the ones he set for our forefathers long ago. No difference but somehow modernised.
What the devil is doing today is nothing new. He has always used the same systematic plan of future action to oppress, confuse, bind and deceive mankind.
The devil and his workers have no other jobs but to fight us. It is by the permission God that the Angels are fighting for us.
One mistake most mankind are making, is not paying attention to spiritual knowledge. If you try educating on a spiritual level, most term it superstition believe. You have to understand that, the spiritual control the physical.
The 4 Traps Of The Devil:

  1. Tempting God: This is how the devil directed Jesus to tempted God. Jesus said unto him, “It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” See Matthew 4:5-7.
What I am trying to explain here is, the devil has been directing you to tempt God without you knowing it. The devil tells us to tempt God and many of us obey. We then fall into this terribly trap, he is happy to strike us. See you shall not tempt your Lord, your God.
For example, someone did to you something wrong, and he then told you that “you can’t do anything” and you go like “you will know that I have a God. My God will surely fight for me”. My dear, the devil just made you to tempt God. Don’t boast in the Name of God. Don’t boast at all. Your God knows what to do.
If Jesus were to go like, “I will jump and nothing will happen to me because I am serving a living God” or “you think, I can’t turn this stones to bread and wine? I will show you I can.” The devil would have won. Please dear, learn to avoid this trap. It will save you from a lot of problems.
  2. Flesh: Even when devil says the truth, even when he quotes Scripture for you, he always put everything in a way that Favour him. He will always twist it.
In the Bible, the devil went to meet Jesus knowing Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights with no food. He tempted Jesus by feeding His flesh just like the way he tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. See Mathew 4:2-4.
But Jesus answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”
The devil knows one of the secrets about human beings. Man’s flesh is not satisfied and it is always lusting for more. That is the lust of flesh.
Note: The devil uses the 3 primary needs of humans which are food, clothes, and shelter to manipulate men. This generation thinks that, they alive because they have food, clothes and a good shelter to sleep well. I want you to know that life is more than food, clothing or shelter.

Prayer Point:- Oh Lord God, I refuse to dance to the devil’s tune, help me to obey You henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have A Glorious Thursday!

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
