Scripture Reading:- Psalm 103

Topic:- The Reasons We Praise God [2]

Text:- Psalm 103:7

Understanding Psalm 103, you will see reasons to praise God the more. So, with this Psalm 103, we will get better understanding for praising God, so as to appreciate God more as one of the people that are opportune to be alive in the followings:

1. In Psalm 103, Verses 3, 10, 12, we are made to know that it is God and God alone that forgives all our iniquities. Many times we don’t even think we have sinned yet, God will forgive us. Not to talk of many times we wrong Him and ask for forgiveness and cleansing, yet, He will forgive. What a wonderful God we serve.

2. In Psalm 103, verse 3 also, it is said there that God is the healer of all our diseases, our sicknesses and infirmities. He did that and He is never tired of doing so. For all diseases He is the healer. He needs to be praised for that.
Also in Psalm 103 Verses 4, 14-16, He redeemed our lives from every form of destruction either on our ways, offices, businesses, homes, school, etc. a destruction seen and unseen lies on our ways. He protected us from them all. Why can’t you praise Him for that?

3. In Psalm 103, Verses 8, 11, 17-18, you will see the way God’s love and mercy have been like a crown on our head i.e. God brought satisfaction and joy to our lives daily. He needs to be praised for these.

4. In Psalm 103 Verses 4, 8, 11, 13, 17-18, you will see these way God’s love and mercy have been like a crown on our head i.e. God brought satisfaction and joy to our lives daily in the year gone by. He needs to be praised.

5. In Psalm 103, Verse 5, God satisfy our mouth with good things i.e. He provides food for us to eat daily as well as other blessings we can testify with our mouths. These are the deeds of God. Why we won’t praise Him?

6. In Psalm 103, Verses 5, 19, God renew us like an eagle and as youth i.e. as you grow older yearly, you are still renewed just as the eagle. Though old but still soars up into the sky with its strong wings. Old but as youth in strength. Praise Him for this too. See also Exodus 19:4; Isaiah 40:31; 32:11.

7. In Psalm 103, Verse 6, God executes righteousness and judgment for the oppressed i.e. year in year out, God helps and fight against our enemies and gives victory. He needs to be praised.

8. In Psalm 103 Verse 7, He never allows us to be in darkness but use to reveal His ways and acts to us, so as to know that we are serving a living and concerned God. He needs our praises because He will do more than these for us. Come on, praise Him!

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
