THURSDAY 9TH AUGUST 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:- MARK 11:1-11
TOPIC:- THE LORD HAS NEED OF YOU
TEXT:- 2 TIMOTHY 2:21
There is a difference between “Go Slow” and “Hold Up”. During the traffic jam, mostly in Lagos and some big busy cities in the world, if there is “go slow”, vehicles usually move very slow i.e. in a snail-like movement. While that of “hold up”, those vehicles, they will be at stand still i.e. they will be in one position, not moving, even for hours.
That is the way of life of some people in life. Their way of life or destiny may either be like “go slow” or stationary in one position in life. “Hold up” to the extent of no miracle, no testimony, no promotion of any kind.
The great example to that was the story of a colt which had been tied down by the fake owner for a long time. See Mark 11:1-2.
That is the way Satan has tied a lot of people’s destiny down for long. And Satan has made the life of those set of people miserable and held up in one position. They lack solution to their problems which can only be found in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The colt had been deprived of its freedom of movement for long. The chances of fulfilling its destiny right there in the village where she was tied was narrow. See Luke 11:3-4.
However, when the real and rightful owner, i.e. the Lord of lords, our savior Jesus Christ, stepped into the case of the colt, there was miracle and total liberation. Not only was the colt liberated, but was also made available for the master’s use, (the owner), so as to fulfill its God given mandate for life. See Mark 11:5-11.
If that can happen to ordinary animal called colt, then, your real owner, who created you, i.e. the Lord, has need of you now. What you only need to do is for you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and accept Him as your only Lord and Savior, by inviting Him into your heart. Confess your sins right now for forgiveness, and confess His name for the Lordship over your life. If you do these or have done so, I bet you, you will regain your freedom, and you will start to move forward to the land of your dream, a higher ground. See 2 Timothy 2:21.
No more hold up in one position nor go slow, because, the Lord has need of your change and you!
Prayer Points:-
1. Lord Jesus Christ! Go to any length and liberate me completely now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh Lord my God! Enough is enough, move me from stationary and shameful position to glory and the miraculous, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I give you my total permission Lord Jesus! Move me forward by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
