40 DAYS VIGIL WITH PRAYER AND FASTING FROM 29TH APRIL OVER 7TH JUNE, 2020 TITLE “MY GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE” HEBREWS 12:29.

Day 5: Sunday 3rd May, 2020.

Scripture:- Lamentation 1

Topic:- The Fire At Calvary

Text:- Lamentation 1:12-13

The Fire At Calvary, [Fire In His Bones]: God’s Judgment of the Savior on the Cross. See Lamentations 1:12, 13
Primarily this passage of scripture speaks of the sorrow of Jerusalem. But, we also see here by way of application, that which occurred when the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the cross.
Because God is a loving God and not willing that any should perish, He devised a plan of salvation. See John 3:16, 17; 1 Timothy 1:15; 3:16; Isaiah 7:14; 53:2.
The beauty of Christ was seen by God in the days of the Lord’s childhood and growth into manhood. When He was about 30 years of age, He began His public ministry. See Matthew 9:35.
This is the description of man in his sins without a Savior. See Isaiah 53:6; John 10:11.
He knew that man, in his sins, is like a straying sheep that has gone astray from God. In order for man to have the opportunity to be saved, He as the Good Shepherd would have to give His life for the sheep. See Philippians 2:8.
Both before the Jews and Gentiles mock trials were held. Though they could find no fault or reason He was condemned to be guilty of death. He was blindfolded, buffeted and beaten. He was reviled. See Isaiah 53:7.
His back was laid open as a plowed field. They platted a crown of thorns and put it upon His head and clothed Him with a purple robe to mock His kingship. See Isaiah 50:6.

After they had done all these things to Him, they led Him out to the place called Calvary and there they crucified Him. They drove nails into His hands and feet and lifted Him up on a wooden cross. The mockery and ridicule of Him continued for the first three hours He hung upon the cross. Because He was bearing our heavy burden of sins. See Matthew 27:45; Isaiah 53:4,6,10.
THIS IS WHEN GOD SENT FIRE INTO HIS BONES. Notice that this fire came from above. It came from heaven, from God. It was the fire of God’s judgment poured out upon His beloved Son as He was bearing our heavy burden of sin. See Lamentation 1:12-13; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Ephesians 2:19,20.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ demonstrated God’s satisfaction with the work of His beloved Son. The resurrection of Jesus Christ demonstrated His deity, that He is indeed the Son of God. There can be no true gospel without the resurrection of Christ. See Romans 1:4; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4.
Do you believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ? You cannot be saved unless you do. See Romans 10:9,10.

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.
