Scripture:- Isaiah 14:1-24
Topic:- The Devil Was Not Created By God [1]
Text:- Isaiah 14:12
We often want to know who created the Devil and who created evil in the world? Why and how did suffering originate? Why would a good God create a wicked devil or evil in the world? Philosophy and theology bother themselves with such questions to understand the ontology and origin of the things that are.
Hence there are many opinions and different answers, and most of which are not yet satisfactory hence we continue to research.
The first point we must begin with in this is to establish that the Devil wasn’t created by God. Hold on! Please calm down! “I said, the Devil was not a creation of God”. God created the Lucifer, a most beautiful Cherub whose appearance the Prophet Isaiah described as that of the morning star. See Isaiah 14:12.
That was whom God created. The Devil was the creation of the Lucifer by the corruption of iniquity which was found in him afterwards. This helps to clarify the position of this teaching that God never empowered the Devil, but did empower the Lucifer and never disempowered him.
It was the Lucifer that He empowered to cover the earth realm and that power or anointing was never taken away from him, “the anointed cherub that covereth.”
Even when things went wrong, when iniquity was found in him, God never took back that anointing from him. Neither was it ever recorded that he was recalled from his earthly position and assignment which was to cover the earth as the Prince of this world.
This point is very vital and must be kept in view, for even Jesus also recognised this position of his. Some argue that when an anointed man or woman sins against God, or begins to live in sin or immorality, that God takes back His anointing or gifting from him or her. See John 14:30.
But we know that that position is not in line with Scriptural protocol of God. The implication of this is that it will be dangerous to continue to follow a man or woman of God who works in some gifting or power just because of the manifestation of that gifting.
A man or woman may still continue to maintain a position or manifest a gifting even when God is no longer with him or her as before. This is quite a risky thing. Don’t follow men or women who manifest gifts, follow men and women who are following God in whose lives the manifest presence of God is very visible.
One of the prominent manifestations of God’s glory or presence is holiness. Talk about a walk ordered by the Word of God and guided by the Spirit of God. People can be living in compromise and still be giving accurate prophecies.
People can still be living in sexual immorality, dishonesty or any other sin, or even in theological deception or error, and still be walking in healing and power of the prophetic. No kidding. This has always been the way it is with God. From the Lucifer, to Saul-the first king in Israel, and even to Ahithophel.
When Saul was rejected by God, was he pushed out of office as King or did the anointing leave him which was why David said he wasn’t going to raise his hands against a man anointed by God?
What left Saul was the presence of God, the power remained with him until he died. What left Ahithophel was the presence of God, but the gift of counsel in him remained accurate and precise till his death. This trend is consistent. And it should be a soft warning to all believers who walk in one gift or another.
Prayer Point:- Satan! Devil! No parking in my life, my life is Holy Ghost fire zone, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Glorious Thursday!
