Monday 10th August 2020 Devotion
Scripture:- Ezekiel 31:1-9
Topic:- The Devil And His Angels Were The 1st To Dwell On Earth [1]
Text:- Exodus 28:17-20
Technically, the devil and his angels were the first to dwell on earth, not Adam. According to the order of creation, God created the earth and then created human beings to dwell on earth as recorded in the book of Genesis.
Humanity was created after the earth had already been created. When God saw all He had created and saw that the world He had created was so beautiful, He knew there was a need to create a being to watch over everything that He had created.
However, God didn’t exactly put that being (Adam) into the earth as we know it, God created a place called Eden, a look-alike for the most beautiful places on earth and he put Adam in it.
What we must first understand is that Eden is not a physical location and is not on any map the world has ever seen, Eden, theoretically is a location between worlds.
Here is what I mean: After God had created the world, He created Adam and placed him in the garden (pay attention to the fact that I used the word “placed”) then the story of creation goes on to talk about the fact that God Himself comes down and dwells with Adam and his partner. See Exodus 28:17-20; Ezekiel 31:2-4, 8-9.
This means that the location of Eden is not in heaven as many think, neither is it on earth. Many have tried to find the location of the garden of Eden, if not to physically go there, to at least catch a glimpse of its beauty and its location on earth.
Nonetheless, with every passing day and research into the subject, it has become clear to us that Eden is not on earth. So what does this mean: it means that Eden wasn’t in heaven, neither was it on it. So it makes sense to believe that Eden was a location between worlds. A place where God had to come down to but is also hidden from the earth.
So technically, Adam and Eve weren’t the first dwellers on earth. They came second after certain beings who were cast away from their first home.
Walk with me. Obviously, Adam and Eve were spiritual beings until they ate of the fruit that made them totally physical.
This also led to them being cast out since they are no longer welcome in the garden. This can be seen from the instruction that says they will die if they eat from the fruit at the center of the garden.
Obviously, Adam didn’t die immediately he ate the fruit so what it means is that he became a version of himself that “can” actually die when he ate the fruit.
Technically, Adam could not die when he was in the garden, which means he was in a way between being a totally physical being and a spiritual being.
Do you ask how this is possible? Well, human beings are the only beings that possess a physical body and a spirit all dwelling in the same compartment called the body. So a human being has access to the spirit world and can also be physically present. Hence the idea of people going to a trance. Enoch left his body countless times to receive secrets of the heavens, so did John.
However, when Adam and Eve ate the fruit, what they did was shun the spirit in them and activated their physicality. So as physical beings, they weren’t allowed in that location called Eden. They simply had to go into the earth and live out their days.
Like Adam and Eve, certain beings were also sent out of their first homes or estate into the world. In fact, it seems they were the first to dwell on earth as we know it. As I have established that the garden of Eden is not on earth, not exactly, then the question is simple; when Satan was cast to the earth, what does that make him? I think it makes him the first earth dweller.
Prayer Point:- I command every activity of the devil over me and my family henceforth, terminate now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Lovely Monday!
