SUNDAY 15TH JULY 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:- ZECHARIAH 3
TOPIC:- THAT EVIL CLOTH, CATCH FIRE
TEXT:- ZECHARIAH 3:3
Since clothes are very important for people to wear And people believe that your appearance reveals, shows and speaks of whom you are. Although, a mad person may not cherish clothes because of the state of his or her condition. Even the thugs, called area boys, still, they put on something i.e. they are not totally naked or insane. Even to talk of animals, they too have their own clothes.
The discussion about clothes today, has spiritual meaning attached to it. Many are suffering and yet they are smiling. Not that they are counting it all joy as said by James in James 1:2, but because they didn’t know that satanic evil clothes are upon their lives.
Think of it! If it is possible for Joshua, a High Priest, in his days, to stand in the presence of the angel of the Lord, (in theology, it is called theophany i.e. the appearance of Jesus before He was born physically into the world), with a filthy cloth placed on him by Satan. Then, we have to be in serious battle of prayer, and cry aloud to God that, that evil cloth must catch fire. As Joshua’s filthy cloth was removed, ours too, must not only be removed, but shall catch fire. See Zechariah 3:1-4.
You will remember that cloth of many colours was given to Joseph by his father, Jacob. That led to one of the reasons why he was hated by his brethren. If not that God was with him, he would have died prematurely. Still, he became slave and prisoner until God finally changed him, and the story of his life changed. See Genesis 37:3-4.
I prophesied that every generational cloth of sorrow and suffering, that of satanic filthy clothes of sin and carnality, and also, that spiritual cobwebs of the enemies, all must catch fire and burn to ashes, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer Points:-
1. I command every of my glory that has been stripe off, locate me now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command, every generational and satanic evil clothes placed upon me and my family, catch fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord my God! Cover my nakedness henceforth with Your clothes of glory and power, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Happy Lord’s Day!
