A Beautiful Story Received From WhatsApp Contact
Scripture Reading:- Genesis 26:6-33
Topic:- No Good Deed Goes In Vain
Text:- Genesis 26:4
During the time of Prophet Musa, [a.s.] Moses! There lived two couples, husband and wife, who lived in poverty for years but still they kept enduring.
One night, the wife sat her husband down and say to him, husband, why don’t we go and meet the Prophet Musa, [Moses] to help us and talk to his Lord, about our situation, so that we can get out of this!
They both agreed and they went to Musa, and they narrated all their worries to him, Moses agreed to talk to his Lord on their behalf, even though the Lord knew about their situation, for he created the world and everything in it!
After Moses had talk to the Lord, the Lord agreed to make them rich but just for a year, and after a year, they will go back to their permanent state! Suddenly things began to change and they became rich, they don’t lack! And they were happy about it!
One day, the wife sat her husband down and remind him that they are going to enjoy this for just a year, and after that they will be poor again! The husband answered yes my wife!
Then the wife suggest that they should do good to people since they are rich so that when they become poor again people will help them too, when they ask for food they will give to them!
So, they decided to build a very big house at the entrance of their town, connecting the seven gates to the house though the entrance had seven ways close to each other. Then they cook good food all day, morning, afternoon and evening for the people entering and going out of the town, they kept doing that and kept rendering help to people in many ways they could. A year passes by but instead they are becoming richer and richer!
Musa was aware of this, so when another year arrives yet they were still rich. When Musa went to his Lord and said oh Lord, the people you made rich and said they will become poor after a year of riches are yet to be poor!
Then the Lord answered him, oh Musa, I opened just one door of my wealth to them out of my seven doors but they open seven doors of charity to my creatures, [man kind]. For this reason, I cannot forsake them! They will remain rich until the end of their lives!!
So that is how the couples lived happier ever until the end of their lives!
Moral:
Always try to be kind to people with the little we have, we never can say which help we will render that will make the Lord get happy with us and open his door of wealth and happiness for us!
Because no good deed goes in vain!
Prayer Points:-
1. Oh Lord God, help me to always be good to people henceforth,in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have a Lovely Thursday!
