Scripture Reading:- Proverbs 16:1-10

Topic:- Man’s Way

Text:- Proverbs 16:7

Proverbs 16:7 Says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
A. What Is A Way:
A way in this context can be said to be thoughts, acts, behaviour, attitude of a man in all aspect of human endeavor.

B. Type Of Ways:
1. Way of the evil – The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way and the forward mouth do I hate. See Proverbs 8:13.
2. Way of wickedness – And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting See Psalm 139:24.
3. Ways of death – There is a way that seemth right unto a man: but the ends thereof are the ways of death. See Proverbs 16:25.
4. Way of righteousness – I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the path of judgements. The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. See Proverbs 16:31.
5. Way of God – Blessed is everyone that fears God and walk in His ways. See Psalm 128:1.
6. The right way – Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and right way. See 1 Samuel 12:23.
7. Way of the spirit – As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. See Ecclesiastes 11:5.
8. Way of salvation – The same followed Paul and us  and cried saying. These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. See Acts 16:17.
9. A more excellent way – But covet earnestly the best gifts and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. See 1 Corinthians 12:31.

C. Characters Of Christ:
Pleasing God is the character of Christ. See Matthew 3:17; John 8:29.

D. Pleasing God should be our objective. See 1 Thessalonians 4:1.

E. Enoch an example of man that please God. See Hebrews 11:5.

F. Examples of those that were at peace with their enemies:
1. Abimelech with Isaac. See Genesis 26:6-11.
2. Esau with Jacob. See Genesis 33:4.
3. David’s enemies. See 2 Samuel 2:17-21.

G. How can you please God:
1. Doing good. See Hebcrews 13:16.
2. Keeping His commandments. See 1 John 3: 22.

H. Advantages of pleasing God:
1. You are secure. See Proverbs 16:7.
2. He will answer your prayer. See 1 John 3: 22.
3. You will make heaven, which is ultimate aim of being a Christian. See Enoch in Hebrews 11:5.

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
