Monday 15th October 2018 Morning Prayer Devotion
Scripture Reading:- 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Topic:- Living A Crucified Life In Christ
Text:- Galatians 2:20
A crucified life in Christ is a life that is dead to flesh i.e. you are no more of yourself, ego is dead completely. It also means a life of faith in Christ totally. And also, it is a life that resembles Christ completely. In fact, the Greek word for crucified is “sistauroo”, which means, spiritually, that you have mortified the lust of the flesh and lust of the world by the cross of Christ.
Apostle Paul said, he is crucified with Christ because he kept his body under and brought it into subjection so as not to be a castaway as a preacher, I Corinthians 9:27. And also, that he may not glory in self and become proud but only to exalt Christ (II Corinthians 12:7-9). And he was sure of not looking backward but pursuit to make heaven is uppermost, Philippians 3:12-14.
For you to live a crucified life like Apostle Paul, you need to be born again, John 3:3-5. You must not be satisfied with your yesterday but to improve for better today and being best for tomorrow, Philippians 3:13-14.
This crucified life is a life of assurance of heaven at any time, 2 Timothy 4:6-8. It is a life of contentment, 1 Timothy 4:6-8. It is a life of living change of life from formal to new. That is, resembling Christ, I Corinthians 5:17.
And lastly, it is a life of enjoying total blessing of provisions, Matthew 6:10-11; 3 John 2). Live a crucified life in Christ, and you will enjoy all the benefits of God.
Prayer Points:-
1. I command every uncrucified part of my life, die completely to sin, in the name of Jesus Christ..
2. I refuse to hear; depart from me, you worker of iniquity at the end of my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I refuse to be satisfied with my yesterday and present position, Lord God, change me for better, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Lovely Monday!
