Know Your Weakness And Your Limitation

Sunday 7th October 2018 Morning Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Proverbs 5

Topic:- Know Your Weakness And Your Limitation

Text:- Hosea 4:6

Everyone, most especially Pastors, Doctors and Nurses have one weakness in common: they run around taking care of others, but rarely take care of themselves.
Pastor, slow down and rest. Doctor, check your own health too. Nurse, take care of yourself.
There’s always something to do. There’s always someone to attend to. There’s always someone to care for.
Unfortunately, in most cases, no one cares for you or about you – including those you care for. They call you only when they need you.
Please Doctor, please Pastor, please Nurse, and everyone concerned, take responsibility for your health and wellness. Don’t become part of the statistics of Doctors who slump after long hours of duty. Don’t become one of the Pastors who slump on the Pulpit. Don’t become one of the nurses who die in hospital.
Many peopeople, most especially Doctors, Pastors and Nurses die because they’re overworked. Rest before you are laid to rest. Don’t go and join the ancestors before your time.

Think on the following quotes:
1. Your shoes are the first thing people subconsciously notice about you. Wear nice shoes.
2. If you sit for more than 11 hours a day, there’s a 50% chance you’ll die within the next 3 years.
3. There are at least 6 people in the world who look exactly like you. There’s a 9% chance that you’ll meet one of them in your lifetime.
4. Sleeping without a pillow reduces back pain and keeps your spine stronger.
5. There are three things the human brain cannot resist noticing – food, attractive people and danger.
6. According to Albert Einstein, if honey bees were to disappear from earth, humans would be dead within 4 years.
7. People who laugh a lot are healthier than those who don’t.
8. A human brain has a capacity to store 5 times as much information as Wikipedia.
9. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day & while you walk, SMILE. It is the ultimate antidepressant, and sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
10. When you wake up in the morning, pray to ask God’s guidance for your purpose, today.
11. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts and things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
14. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
15. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Forgive them for everything.
16. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
17. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
18. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
19. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
20. Help the needy, Be generous! Be a ‘Giver’ not a ‘Taker’
21. What other people think of you is none of your business.
22. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
23. Each night before you go to bed, pray to God and be thankful for what you accomplished, today. What if you woke up this morning and only had what you thanked God for yesterday? DON’T FORGET TO THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

Prayer Points:-
1. I refuse to die prematurely and untimely, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I embraced godly wisdom henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Help me oh Lord God to know my weaknesses henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Happy Lord’s Day.

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
