MONDAY 2ND JULY 2018 MORNING PRAYER DEVOTION
SCRIPTURE READING:- GENESIS 18:1-15
TOPIC:– IT IS TIME TO LAUGH
TEXT:- PSALM 2:4
Laughter is one of the greatest mental tonics known to man. Laughter can dispel anxiety; help manage stress, depression, fear and worry. It can stimulate the healing process. Laughter provides strong medical, psychological, social and even spiritual benefits.
Laughter is like internal jogging. It enhances the respiratory system, helps oxygenate the body, relaxes tense muscles, and is an all-around pain killer. It will lower pulse and blood pressure. Laughter can pave the way for a new and exciting outlook on life. It is the universal communicator that can cross all boundaries of race and culture.
Scientists have been studying the effect of laughter on human beings, and have found, among other things, that laughter has a profound and instantaneous effect on virtually every important organ in the human body. Laughter reduces health-sapping tensions and relaxes the tissues as well as exercising the most vital organs. Laughter, even when forced, results in a beneficial effect on us, both mentally and physically.
Next time you feel nervous and jittery, indulge in a good laugh. Laughter is the best medicine for a long and happy life. Those who choose to laugh, last longer.
Laughter is low-calorie, caffeine-free, no-salt, no preservatives or additives, 100% natural, and one-size-fits-all. Laughter is truly God’s gift. You can get high on laughter but never overdose.
Laughter is contagious. Once it starts, little can be done to stop it. Laughter never felt bad, committed a crime, started a war or broke a relationship. Laughter is shared by the giver and the receiver. Laughter costs nothing, and it’s non-taxable.
God possesses a good sense of humour. He is exciting and would want His children to be similarly happy and merry all the time. There are things that make God to laugh and there are those that make His sad also. God is not callous but because He is Omnipotent He will always have the last laugh in any matter. See Psalm 59:8; Proverbs 1:26; Psalm 2:4.
God sometimes blesses people with such blessings that make them laugh. For example He sent Isaac (laughter) into the life of Abraham at the age of 100. Can you imagine the laughter the birth of Isaac had caused Abraham and Sarah? See Genesis 18:1-15; 21:1-7.
Prayer Points:-
1. You external and internal enemy of joy and gladness in my life, fall down and expire by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Every root of bitterness and suffering growing in the foundation of my life, I uproot you by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Ear-tingling miracles! Break forth in my life after the order of Sarah’s conception, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have A Loving Monday!
