Is Your Name Permanent In The Book Of Life

Monday 13th August 2018 Morning Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Luke 10:17-24

Topic:- Is Your Name Permanent In The Book Of Life

Text:- Revelation 3:5

Today’s word is centered on how your name written in the book of life can be maintained, and be permanently sustained. Do you know that Christians can lose their salvation if they rebelliously act against the Lord’s commands? Apostle John wrote in the book of Revelation, chapter three and verse five that, “I will not blot out his name from the book of life.”

That is saying that when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, our names were added into the book of life. But it can be removed, for some persistent act of disobedience on the Christian’s part during his or her life. This blotting of the names from the book is first mentioned in Exodus 32:32-33.
That was the record of the worship of the golden calf by Israel, when Moses went to God to plead for the forgiveness of the people. He said, “if you will not forgive their sin, blot out my name.” and the Lord said back to Moses, “whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my book.” That is, in a desperate plea for Israel, Moses asked that he should be blotted out from this book of life.

A second place is found in Psalm sixty nine, verse twenty eight, where David prayed against his enemies by saying, “let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not to be written with the righteous.”
What does it mean to be blotted out of the book of life? The word has more of the picture of erasing or totally eliminating from existence or memory.
There is tendency for our names to be deleted from the book of life, if we fail to repent from known sins and ungodly character that does not befit a child of God. See Matthew 7:21-23; Romans 6:1.

Prayer Points:-
1. I decree it that, my name will be intact and never to be removed from the book of life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I come against every demonic power that has determined to waste my life into hell, what are you waiting for, perish by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I command, every trap of the devil and wishes of my enemies, for me to fall into sin and temptation, catch fire and back fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have A Beautiful Monday!

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.
