Friday 14th December 2018 Prayer Devotion
Scripture Reading:- Romans 4:1-24
Topic:- Increase Your Faith
Text:- Hebrews 11:6
The definition of faith is found in Hebrews 11:1, i.e. Faith is of now not yesterday, of things you expect that God can do, that definitely He will do, so you will trust Him to do as you hope in Him.
Faith, we are told is compulsory, not if I like, otherwise you will not be pleasing do who is also a faith-God. See Hebrew 11:6.
There are three descriptions of faith:
1. Saying Faith, Mark 11:12-14, i.e. you confess it until it comes to pass. See also Mark 11:20-24.
2. Action Faith is you act on what you believe and had confessed. See Mark 5:25-34.
3. While we also have Possessing Faith, I Kings 17:8-16, i.e. the faith has been idle until someone will gear it up in us.
I want to believe that everybody is born with one faith or the other, it is we that we must improve on it by making it to work or continue to utilize it.
Everyday in and out, everyone use faith, for you to see tomorrow, is also by faith. So, let us pray that our foundation increase our faith. That with God, nothing is impossible.
In fact, we are called faith people, then why should we then be doubting that God can definitely do it, ours is to act on His Word and it will come to pass.
Don’t forget what the Word of God says, “I can do all things in Christ which strengthen me,” Philippians 4:13. So we are to increase our faith in God, if we believe He has done it before for others, then He can do our also for us.
Let us remain unshaken in Him, He is able to do as He declared, as we hope in Him and trust Him, then we will realize our desire.
Prayer Points:-
1. Oh God, help me to let my faith increase henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command my idle faith to jump up and shine, and begin to work henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I declare, I can do all things because of God’s faith in me henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Happy Weekend!
