Topic:- How Apostle Obadare Was Raised Blind [1]
Text:- Genesis 32:28

Even in death, the memory of Apostle Timothy Obadare remains strong among the leaders of his Church and beyond.
His spiritual gifts as a Prophet made him one of Nigeria’s most outstanding and highly sought-after men of God.
It is well established that the Prophet Obadare, founder of Christ the Apostolic Church World Soul Winning Evangelistic Ministry, was blind, but his visual disability was not a restriction, but it was an opportunity for God to prove His supernatural ability and to prove His authenticity.

  1. About His Illness:
Apostle Obadare was raised blind. His loss of sight was the result of an epidemic of illness in his hometown of Ilesa, Osun State, when he was just six years old.
A chronic minor pox outbreak triggered an eye disease that destroyed his entire community and cost him both eyes to use.
This made it difficult for him to complete his primary education at the Apostolic Church High School, Ise-Ilesa.
His parents’ attempts to save the situation and help regain his eyesight proved unfruitful.
He was later taken to a mission Hospital in Lagos, where Missionary Doctors reported that his eyes had been harmed beyond repair, but suggested that God had given him invisible eyes sharper than ordinary human eyes.
This seemed prophetic, and it turned out to be what it was. The tragic occurrence was a provocation that led young Timothy to seek divine guidance, as a result of which he encountered God at the age of seven. He got the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in February 1949.
  2. Interview Conducted:
His son, in a recent interview, disclosed the assurance that the Apostle Obadare had received from God concerning his eyes, “He realized that God could do it, so he prayed that he will restore his sight.
It was then that God told him that he had a duty to do His work for him. Either he restored his sight, or he acknowledged the way in which he will do His will,” said Pastor Obadare.
  3. The Interview Continued:
Yet despite his visual limitations, Apostle Obadare was always able to do almost everything that someone else could do, including going to the Airport when he had to go Overseas to preach and even read the Bible.
Pastor Paul acknowledged that given his blindness, his father’s ability to study the word was a divine intervention, adding that God had done a surgical work to enable him to study the word. They are divine. He also takes care of one’s shortcomings while God calls to him.
God also ensures that He has a more full understanding of His Word. When my father learned His Word and prayed, God conducted surgery on his eyes.

Prayer Point: Oh Lord God, break me, remold me and uses me for Your divine purpose for my life henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have A Lovely Monday!
