A. What is a Tongue:
It is defined as the soft movable part in the Mouth that is used for tasting and eating food and in human being for speaking.

D. God’s Commendation On Good Tongues:
1. All good tongues shall be like choice silver. See Proverbs 10:20.
2. All good tongues shall bring life always. See Proverbs 18:21.
3. All wholesome tongue is a tree of life. See Proverbs 15:4.
4. Good tongue is a law of kindness. See Proverbs 31:26.

E. God’s Judgments On Bad Tongues:

F. Importance Of Tongue to the Body:

5. To learn and acquire knowledge. See Isaiah 50:4.
6. To teach people.

Note: On a general sense, tongue has not been design to be putting fire to the owner’s body neither another person’s body but to be creating peace, comfort, joy, happiness, harmony, breakthrough to the body, just to mention a few.
G. What Tongue Can Do for you in Life:
1. It can stigmatize you in the society.
2. It can dictate your type of person in the society.
3. It can create your own kind of world.
4. It can make or mar one’s life, destiny, career, etc.
5. It can connect or disconnect you.
H. Biblical Examples:
1. An Amalekite who professed he killed King Saul. See 2 Samuel 1:10-16.
2. Nabal’s Wife, Abigail who saved her husband Laban. See 1 Samuel 25:10-11;18:23-35.

1. I command all damages done to my life as a result of the wrong used of my tongue, be repaired now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command all agents of bondage and destruction in my tongue, depart now and die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord God, heal me of all diseases, infirmity and sickness of the tongue now by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
