Topic:- God The Consuming Fire Versus Serpent
Text:- Isaiah 27:1
Serpent in Hebrew is referred to as “Nachash” which means a hissing creature. It is also called a snake. It also means the constellation of the dragon.
There is no doubt that this serpent, normally was something evil, even dating back to the temptation and fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Funny enough, Christians or ministers of God were advised by Jesus Himself to be wise as serpent. Although only advised to be wise as serpent but we are not to be serpent, the reason is that serpent is a symbol of “trick, deceit and evil wisdom” and not godly one. See Matthew 10:16.
Satan is not an originator; he is a clever imitator who disguises his true character. If necessary, he can even masquerade as an angel of light.
He still works today as the great impersonator. He has produced a counterfeit righteousness apart from the righteousness that comes only by faith in the Savior.
Satan has false ministers who reach a false gospel and false brothers and sisters who oppose the true gospel. See 2 Corinthians 11:14.
Serpent is very devilish to the extent that it is referred to as devil or Satan, and can be called serpentine spirit in deliverance ministry i.e. that some people might be behaving like serpent in nature or being possessed with this serpentine spirit which will need powerful prayer of deliverance for such to be settled free from it.
This made our forefather and mother, Adam and Eve to fall whereby the human race is suffering because of the curse that was later pronounced on mankind.
Glory to God that victory was given to only those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior through the redemptive work on the cross.
Prayer Points:
1. I command every serpent in my life, be consumed by God’s consuming fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. I command every serpent in my body, die by God’s consuming fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. You serpent eating the egg of my breakthrough and glory, I break your head, die, die, die, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. I command every serpentine spirit hindering my breakthroughs, enough is enough, be consumed by God’s consuming fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. Every manifestation of serpentine spirit in finance, stop your work in labour henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Holy Ghost fire! God’s consuming fire! Go in any length and deliver me totally from serpentine spirit hindering my success and blessings now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. I’m free henceforth from serpentine spirit, I move to my next level by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
