God Is Good And Perfect

Thursday 31st October 2019 Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- Genesis 39:1-23

Topic:- God Is Good And Perfect

Text:- Exodus 1:22

A king had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him. My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes.
One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king. The servant managed to kill the animal but couldn’t prevent his majesty from losing a finger.
Furious and without showing gratitude, the king said, “If God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger.” The servant replied, Despite all those things, I can only tell you that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong.”
Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant. While being taken to prison, he told the king again, God is still good and perfect.
Another day, the king left alone for another hunt, and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn’t have one finger in place. He was released because he was considered not “complete” to be offered their gods.
On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said, “My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go.”
But I have a question, “If God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in prison?” His servant replied, “My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger. Everything God does is good and perfect, He is never wrong.
1. Why should Moses be born at the exact time that there was law that the male children should be killed? It was because God has been good and always perfect. See Exodus 1.
2. Why should God allow Joseph to pass through slavery and prison before the fulfillment of his dream to be leader over his brethren and parent? It was because God is good and perfect always. See genesis 39.
3. Why should God allow David to be in the bush with his father’s cattle, and later kill Goliath, and also be victimized by Saul and nearly killed? It is because God is good and perfect always. See 2 Samuel.
4. Why should God rescue Shadrach, Mesharch and Abed-nego from burning furnace fire, and also Daniel from lion’s den? It is because God is good and perfect always. See Daniel 3 and 6.
5. Finally, what should we be saying about Jesus who died for mankind for our salvation? It was because God is good and perfect always. See the Gospelers.

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
