Topic:- Givers Never Lack
Text:- 2 Corinthians 9:6
A. Who Is A Giver:
1. A giver is one who helps others without any expectation of rewards or returns.
B. Characteristics Of Givers:
1. A giver must have Fear of God. See Deuteronomy 14:22-23.
2. A giver must have first given themselves to the Lord. See 2 Corinthians 8:5.
3. A giver must desires to give high quality gifts. See Matthew 2:11.
4. A giver must hopes in his gifts answers prayers. See Ecclesiastes 11:1.
5. A giver must desires to give secretly. See Matthew 6:4.
6. A giver must exercises personal thriftiness.
C. Whom Should We Give To:
1. The poor. See Deuteronomy 15:10; Proverbs 19:17.
2. The minister of God. See Matthew 10:42; 1 Corinthians 9:11; 1 Timothy 5:17-18.
3. The widow. See 1 Timothy 5:9.
4. The believer’s family. See 1 Timothy 5:8.
5. Work of the ministry. See Philippians 4:10-16; 1 Corinthians 9:7-14.
6. Brothers and sisters in need. See James 2:15-17.
7. Work of the Lord. See Exodus 36:5-6.
D. How Do You Give:
1. Willingly without grumbling because God loves a cheerful giver. See 2 Corinthians 9:7.
2. Secretly. See Matthew 6:3-4,18.
E. Rewards For Givers:
1. If you are a giver, you will also be a receiver from God, for God will bless you if you are a giver. See Luke 6:38a.
2. Men shall give unto you. See Luke 6:38b.
3. Your gift shall prosper you. See Proverbs 17:8.
4. Your gifts shall make room for you, it will bring you many friends. See Proverbs 19:6.
5. Your gift will stop anger. See Proverbs 21:14.
6. Your gift will spread the gospel and brings converts. See Galatians 6:9.
7. Giving always prospers the giver. See Proverbs 11:24.
8. It promotes physical health. See 3 John 2.
Prayer Points:-
1. Oh Lord God, help me to be a giver henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Bestow upon me henceforth by fire, power and grace to be able to be a giver without grudge but willingly, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord God, make me too to be a blessing like Abraham henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
