Elijah Ran In Fear

Monday 20th May 2019 Prayer Devotion

Scripture Reading:- 1 Kings 19:1-4

Topic:- Elijah Ran In Fear

Text:- James 5:17a

At times, it’s easy to hold a perception that folks like David, Moses, and Paul loom larger-than-life. But they struggled with emotions, evidenced in the Bible.
Elijah wrestled as well. His life rang authentic. The man who stood in solid obedience and courage also ran in fear. Elijah! Man of God, the man of fire! That gave us the clue that he was a man like every other people. See James 5:17a.
The anger of Jezebel who had sworn to take the life of Elijah, compelled him to flee without delay, and take his refuge beyond the desert of Judah, in the sanctuary of Mount Horeb.
Throughout 1 Kings 19 we see Elijah grappling amid the battle with fear. But we also see God as Elijah turns focus to the Lord, the scene changes. The fear clawing and scratching at Elijah dissolves.
So yes, Elijah ran in fear, but he also found courage through God. When he saw that, he arose, and ran for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
Are things bad today at home, in the world? Just do your best, pray and don’t worry! God is in charge, not you nor I, but God Himself. And He knows and has power. He knows what He is doing.

Prayer Points:-
1. I command every spirit of fear working against miracle, catch fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. You spirit of fear, what are you waiting for in my life, disappear by fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I refuse to give in to fear, you fear, die by fire now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, in the name of Jesus Christ.

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
