Scripture Reading:- 1 Kings 17:1-24
Topic:- Elijah Is A Man On The Pathway Of Brokenness
Text:- Romans 6:11
How To Know You Are A Traveler On The Pathway Of Brokenness:
1. Those who have crucified the flesh and are dead to sin and the world. That is, their inner man has been transformed and willing to forgive when offended. See Romans 6:11.
2. Those who have control over their tongues. See James 3:2-3.
3. Those who have spent more time alone with God. That is, ability to do your quiet time daily and waiting on the Lord at regular periods with fasting and prayer. See Genesis 23:24.
4. Those who are faithful to God, wiling to function within the area where God has called and willing to submit to the authority God has placed over you. See Romans 13:1-3.
5. Those who live a truthful and transparent life. Always accountable and live the life of holiness within and without. See Romans 14:12-13.
6. Those who are always eager to help the poor. To freely give without expecting reciprocation and empathize with those who are suffering. See Galatians 2:10.
7. Those who allow the Holy Spirit to lead them and to have free access to every area of their lives. See John 3:8.
8. Those who recognize the full reality of sin, reproach it brings to the body of Christ and hate sin with perfect hatred. See Psalm 45:7.
9. Those who are not easily carried away by the praise of man, dying to their own opinion, preference, taste, will, world and approval of man and to self. See Acts 10:25-26.
10. Those who are doing the will of God even if others misunderstand and who shun undue popularity and publicity. See Acts 11:1-18.
11. Anyone who consider the interest of others first, not justifying yourself when you are misinterpreted or misrepresented and to honestly rejoice with someone who has been promoted above you. See Acts 6:1-4; 13:1-3.
12. Elijah went through the pathway of brokenness and the following three conditions were fulfilled in his life.
a. Denying himself.
b. Taking up his cross.
c. And following God.
Prayer Points:-
1. O Lord God, let every spirit of carnality in me be destroyed and die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh Lord God, give me the spirit to walk in total submission unto You God henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Purge every spirit of unbrokenness out of me by Your blood, and replace it with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right Spirit within me by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. Make me to decrease oh Lord God, and let Christ increase in me henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
