Monday 17th December 2018 Prayer Devotion
Scripture Reading:- 2 Kings 2:1-15
Topic:- Double My Miracle Oh God
Text:- Isaiah 40:2
There is a journey for the double in the Bible and it was the story of Elijah and Elisha. It was a journey for Elijah of no return because his ministry and life has expired and to be given to another, while it is a journey for Elisha to assume duty anew, positively and powerfully.
They started their journey from Gilgal, meaning roll away. Your own problem and evil and also unknown curse has been rolled away. See Joshua 4:19-20; 2 Kings 2:1.
They got to Bethel, meaning house of God when you are in Church, you are in your Bethel. And whenever you feel the presence of God, there lies many blessings you are in your Bethel. See Genesis 28:10-22; 2 Kings 2:2.
They later left for Jericho which is a place of fragrance, which is the place you are heated, 2 Kings 2:22-29, and where you know the secret of the enemies for your own blessing, Joshua 2:1-21; 2 Kings 2:4.
They finally got to Jordan which means valley, it also means descendant and lastly means pass over. That is your valley side which will turn to where your blessings will descend and you will pass over your problem. See Deuteronomy 11:30; Joshua 18:18; Ezekiel 47:8.
It was after they passed through river Jordan that opportunity was given to Elisha to ask for double which he later got. See 2 Kings 2:9-12.
This is your time for your double. If Elisha can get his own, you too will get yours. Also, the blind Bartimeus got his eyes restored and cold see and still possess all the money given to him when he was yet a beggar. He got his own double, you too will get yours, and you will have multiple testimonies.
