Topic:- Destiny Destroyers
Text:- Judges 16:6
There is a belief that there is nothing called destiny. At least those who are doing evil or dirty jobs can not choose before their birth those works e.g. an armed robber, the sex hawkers, area boys, etc.
There is also a belief that even there is a destiny, then, it can never be changed i.e. “Ayanmo o gbo’gun”. In view of the above, destiny can then be defined (in the dictionary) as what happens to somebody or what will happen to them in the future, especially things that they cannot change or avoid.
With all the above, these will lead us to the topic of today which centers on Samson the greatest and strongest man that had ever lived. And how his destiny was destroyed by a powerless woman called Delilah.
And these shall be discussed in seven ways:
1. You are not just barren because you are barren or things are not going the way it should be. There is always a purpose for your barrenness. The case of Samson’s mother becoming barren was just to know that the child to be born would be a special child who was named by God Himself as “LIKE THE SUN” i.e. the meaning of Samson, that he would be shining like a sun. in your bareness you will still shine for the world to see. See Judges 13:2.
2. If you are observant to God’s rule and commandment, then you can never allow the destiny destroyers to tamper with you. As you walk in His ways, then you are already fulfilling your destiny. See Judges 13:24-25.
3. If you give in to lust and wrongful advice or choice, then you have just given room to the destroyer to strike. Samson allowed these and a lion came, though killed but that led to deceit and manipulation. So don’t give room for devil to strike. See Judges 14:1-20.
4. Your want and choice may be deadly and also destroying because God’s way is different from human way. You can only walk in the way of God so as to fulfill your destiny. See Judges 15.
5. We usually have great destiny destroyer. You may think they are small or powerless or even females who are weaker vessels. Never in your life underestimate your enemy or anyone. Once you allow them to have their way, you are on your way to destruction. See Judges 16:1-3.
6. As we have great destiny destroyer, so also we have people with great destiny to shine for the world to see. So, destiny destroyers are around to terminate our lives. See Judges 16:4.
7. Never you allow destiny destroyer of any kind to come into your life for if you do, your destiny will be destroyed and all what you labour and work for will be executed. That was exactly what happens to Samson even to the extent of dying among his enemies. See Judges 16:5-31.
Others are Joseph and his brothers, they want to kill his dream and destroy his destiny. Remember that dream killers always abound near you. Remember destiny destroyers like Devil, sin and Delilah never have merry but ready to destroy. Destroy them before they destroy you through your holy living and prayer life. Destiny destroyers must die!
Prayer Points:-
1. I fire all destiny destroyers that are after my life with the thunder of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. You destiny destroyers assigned against me, what are you still waiting for? Die by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I command every trick and device of the wicked ones against my destiny, be shattered into pieces in the name of Jesus Christ.
