D. How To Ask Correctly:
When you ask correctly, you will be able to get what you want from God. The preparation may look tedious but it is better to prepare properly and get what you want than to just jump into asking without proper preparation and fail to get what you want.
It is possible to ask and hope, and it possible to ask and know that you have gotten your answer unfailingly. The choice is yours. Here then is the correct ways to ask:
1. Decide and know what you want from God. See Isaiah 41:21.
2. Search the Scripture to find out if your need falls in line with God’s will. See 1 John 5:14-15.
3. Ask what you want and showing that you are specific. (No repetition and not long prayer) and be sure you support your request with promise of God that support request. See Matthew 6:6-7; 1 Samuel 1:11; John 14:13; 16:23; Philippians 2:9.
4. Believe that you have received what you ask for. See Mark 11:24; 9:23.
5. You must pray in faith not in hope. Faith is the language of the Kingdom, if you do not have it you cannot communicate with God. Therefore let us look at how to increase our faith.
E. How To Increase Your Faith:
There are certain things you must do to help your faith so that you can get what you want from God. We shall list some of these below so that you can practice them in other to increase your faith. Follow these and wisdom will start to answer to you.
1. Don’t give room for any form of doubt or unbelief, Do not waver.
2. Do not talk what you feel, see, taste, hear and smell because that is the problem of most Christians. Only talk what the Word of God says about your situation.
3. Make sure that you are Word-loaded and that your declarations are coming from the heart that focused on the Word of God.
4. One thing that you must do is to meditate over and over again long enough on the Word of God that you want to use in your prayer before using it.
5. You must cast down imaginations and every knowledge that comes to your mind that contradicts the Word and bring into captivity every contrary thought that comes to your mind. Bring them in subjection to and obedience of the Word of God. See 2 Corinthians 10:4-6.
6. Give yourself to books and the Word of God along the line of your prayer.
7. Give yourself to thanksgiving, continually thanking and praising God with the Word of God flowing from your mouth and also with your Testimonies.
8. Finally, give yourself to meditation day and night on the promises of God and appropriate them for yourself. This is important because your prayer must be Word-loaded.
Prayer Point:- Oh Lord God, let Your Word dwell in me richly and faith increase in me greatly henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
