Text:- Matthew 5:14
A. The Light Of The World:
1. Because you are a child of light it follows that you are a light. And as it is written, You are a light of the world. That is what Jesus Himself called you as written above. Because you are light you cannot be hidden. You are like a city that is set on a hill, which cannot be hidden.
2. Therefore you are supposed to be shining here on earth. You are shining example that cannot be ignored; you are a pacesetter. As a pacesetter you have to be recognized, wherever you go as someone to be followed. You cannot be suppressed or repressed because you are a light of the world.
3. Because you are a light of the world, it follows that you are born to be outstanding in this world. You are not only born to be outstanding. You are born to shine and you are shining here on earth. You are not only shining, you are actually shining more and more every day of your life unto the perfect day.
4. Light brings security because it illuminates therefore wherever you are in this world the security there is certain because the angels of the Lord will be there looking after the security there.
5. After all, the Angels of God are ministering spirits who are supposed to be ministering to your needs as an heir of salvation and they are there for your protection. The Lord surrounds you with His angels for He has said that it is as the mountains surround Jerusalem that He surrounds you.
6. If the need arises, just like Jesus said He could do, you can even call for as many as twelve legions of angels to come to your aid. That is more than seventy-two thousand Angels. This is so because Jesus has sent you just as He was sent by the Father therefore whatever protection He had when He came you are now also entitled to have.
7. Knowing the awesome power that these Angels of God have exhibited in the past there is no problem you can go through that one Angel cannot totally handle or take care of. Wherever you are the forces of darkness must leave since light must always overcome darkness. Light is crucial to life therefore wherever you are there is an assurance that life there is protected and secured.
8. Light gives confidence and dispels fear therefore wherever you are, fear is dispelled and confidence swells up because you no longer have the spirit of fear. Wherever you are the spirit of fear, anxiety and distress disappears. You now have the spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. Therefore there is sureness and confidence about everything that you say or do.
9. Light illuminates therefore whatever you say concerning any issue or matter must bring light, illumination and understanding concerning that issue or matter because the wisdom of God will be answering to you. After all you have been given the wisdom of God.
10. In every gloomy situation when you appear the situation must become brightened and the gloominess must disappear. Your presence anywhere must bring joy. Light leads to order and beauty therefore wherever you are order and beauty must be restored and establish there.
11. Light exposes danger because it illuminates all the nooks and corners of any place to which it is directed therefore wherever you are, the enemy’s schemes and plans are bound to be exposed and laid bare.
12. Light reveals the truth and exposes hidden things therefore wherever you are and in whatever situation you may find yourself, the truth concerning that situation will be revealed and exposed.
13. Without light we cannot see therefore because you are light wherever you are your spiritual sight as well as that of all the people around you will be empowered.
14. Light is what makes us to see colours and beauty therefore in whatever place or situation you may find yourself no matter how dull , cloudy, gloomy or depressing the place or situation may be since you are light, your presence must bring beauty, brightness, joy and clarity to that place or situation.
Prayer Point:- Oh Lord God, make me Your light indeed henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.
