SCRIPTURE READING:- PSALM 121
TOPIC:– ANGELS ON GUARD
TEXT:- PSALM 91:11
Angels according to the Bible are an order of supernatural or heavenly beings whose business is to act as God’s messengers to men, and as agents who carry out His divine will. Angels are spirit beings that help in executing the will of God here on earth. They intermediate between God and man. They have been given divine and holy commission concerning you at Christ’s expense, Psalm 91:11.
Many accidents or mishaps have been averted by the intervention of angels in the affairs of human beings. They are ministering spirits. They are powerful spirit beings that minister to God and human beings in a variety of ways. They can manifest as physical beings and as spirits depending on the occasion and the message being delivered. They are messengers and instruments of the divine will. They help to interpret the will of God to mankind, Daniel 7:16.
God sends them on special assignments, ranging from ministering in physical things to spiritual warfare. They are always around to ensure that the purpose of God for our life stands, no matter what the devil may do. In fact, all the demons in hell ganging up together cannot change one of the promises of God about you and me. The counsel of God must stand, 2Peter 2:12.
Funny enough, these very powerful angelic beings are so close to you, doing nothing but waiting for your command or your decree to obey. You have a personal angel(s) attached to you to carry out assignment on your behalf. The earlier you realize the presence and need of these powerful spirit beings the better it is. There are a lot of things you may not be able to do all by yourself because of human limitation; you need angels to help you out, Psalm 103:20.
As we pray, rebuking, binding and casting out the demons, we are legislating (making decrees) which the holy angels execute. Hence the Bible says that we are co-labourers with Him (God). The authority and power behind our prayers dictate the extent to which the angels fight on our behalf. That is not to say we should be disdainfully commanding the angels of God. Note that they are not answerable to us but to God. We should ask God to send His angels on ministerial assignments, while we exercise our command over demonic angels.
Open your mouth and get legions of angels carry out divine assignment on your behalf. The word that will start the deliverance and miracle is in your mouth. Say it! You are not alone; there are angelic hosts around getting ready to move up and down.
Angels are friendly and are co-labourers with believers whenever they are praying. They supply strength to believers when they are fainting and weary in life, especially during prayer, Isaiah 40:29.
Jesus enjoyed this special strength-supplying assignment of angels while He was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, Luke 22:41-44.
Apart from supplying strength they carry out prayers to the very throne of God. They pay frequent visits to us whenever we praise God in spirit and in truth, Revelation 5:8; 8:3-5.
In the area of salvation, angels are not there to preach the gospel but work hand in hand with the believers to lead someone to Christ. They did not experience salvation and can therefore not share it with anyone. The best they can do is to help us overcome hindrances to our witnessing. In most cases when we are unable to preach because of fear, the angels execute the prayers that are offered on behalf of the sinner. In this case, they may lead someone who is able to preach to the sinner, empowered by the blessed Holy Ghost, to do it. Though angels are not permitted to preach the gospel they are interested in salvation of souls. They are interested in the affairs of human beings, Luke 15:10.
Angels are not to be feared. Always love their appearance. Most people are not able to see vision of angels or their physical appearances because if they see one, they would die out of fear. God will not make us see what will kill us. Change your perspective therefore, and these powerful creatures would manifest in your life in times of need to minister to you.
Prayer Points:-
1. Angels of the living God! Arise; show yourself strong on my behalf henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. My Lord, dispatch Your powerful angels to remove every satanic road block mounted on my way of prosperity, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. My Father! Release special angelic beings to guide the affairs of my life henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
