10 Ways Holy Spirit Empowers Christians [2]

Thursday 9th July 2020 Prayer Devotion
Scripture:- John 3:1-16
Topic:- 10 Ways Holy Spirit Empowers Christians [2]
Text:- Acts 2:38

  1. The Holy Spirit Makes Believers Look More Like Christ:
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. See 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Moses during his time had this encounter on the mountaintop, but Christians of nowadays have communion with God on daily basis.
Therefore we’re meant to radiate the glory of God because of the meditation on his word on daily basis and when we do that, the Son Jesus is seen in us, then the Holy Spirit transforms us. We become more like the Son of God as we grow daily by feeding on God’s word.
Our utmost God and the desire of God is that we become Christlike and this can become a reality in us through the power of the Holy Spirit residing within us. So He brings sanctification that takes us above sin and brings us to the point of transformation into the image of Christ.
  2. The Holy Spirit In Us Helps Us To Do The Will Of The Father:
Then the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go up and join this chariot,’ See Acts 8:29. The Holy Spirit helps every believer discover the will of God and do it, He helps every believer know the thought if the Father and come to obedience to His will. Let it be a prayer request of every believer that the Holy Spirit will show us the will of the Father and also help us to carry it out.
  3. The Holy Spirit Gifts Every Believer For The Purpose He Is Called To Fulfil:
The Holy Spirit gives every believer gifts that are needed for the growth of the body of Christ (The Church). See 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.
No one receives all the gifts but they’re distributed through the Holy Spirit to every believer. The gift(s) that you receive will empower you for the calling God has placed on your life. Embrace what God has put inside of you and be His instrument for Kingdom purpose! See Ephesians 4 and Romans 12.
  4. The Holy Spirit impacts love in the heart of every believer:
In whatever thing we do, we find love in them. Even when we go through trials, God’s love is made manifest in our hearts through the Holy Spirit and its this great empowerment that carries us through the seasons of hardship. The Holy Spirit pours this love into the heart of every believer! See Romans 5:3-5

Prayer Point:- Oh Lord God, I need the empowerment of Holy Spirit in my life more than before henceforth by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have A Glorious Thursday!

ALTAR CALL

If you want to give your life to Christ; you want your sins forgiven; you want to become a child of God; you want to experience the realities of new birth; you want to make heaven;

Or you were once saved and fell along the line, and now you want to rededicate your life to Christ…

Then pray this short prayer of Faith

Say it loud and mean it:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.

Thank God for your soul. I congratulate you for the best decision of your life. For further details on how to grow in this new light, please click the CONTACT page or visit TACN or any bible believing church near you and ask for the pastor in charge.
